15 Oct New Beginnings
Hey dear,
Last week I shared why I’ve been away for such a long time. Today, I want to talk about new beginnings.
While I was recovering from a miscarriage last year, I lost the zeal to pursue any of my many interests. On one of those days, I got an inbox from a friend on LinkedIn asking if I still wanted to pursue a PhD. I affirmed and he recommended a couple of schools to apply too.
In the midst of my pain and apathy, I pushed myself to make one application or 3 (story for another day) and this became my game changer. While I haven’t entirely gotten my writing mojo, I’m glad to announce to you that I started PhD program at Oregon State University.
For the next couple of years, I hope to (in addition to other things) write about my experience in Corvallis. The highs and the lows- though I hope to experience more highs than lows. I’m excited about what my future in this town will be and I welcome you to walk that journey with me.
In the meantime, enjoy a couple of amateur photos I’ve taken so far. Don’t worry, I will deepen my photography skills and start to share more photos pretty soon.
